Anyone got an Acorn Pets near them?
Ones just opened up here next to Homebase so we went in today. They didn't have any piggies just 3 rabbits, 8 rats and like 20 hammies. A few girls from my school are working in it and one of them was saying to a woman at the tills 'there a 'pure fish expert' up there telling everyone about fish telling them not to buy them from here. I don't have a clue what he's talking about'. ::) Shows how much they know about animals.. Plus they had the huge balls in suitable for piggies and other large animals :-\ The housing in there was alot better than P@H but I think animal wise they are just as bad..

i dont think any pet shops get it right tbh..some are really good but the bigger chain stores tend not be, everywhere i went to yday looking for a new pigger they had them with rabbits my lil boy was in with one rabbit, and another store i went to they had a small female in no more than 6 wks old with 3-4 larger rabbits, i felt so sorry for it, it was sat up one cornver in a pile of hay munching away prob trying to keep away from them!

never heard of acorn pets either..

Yes, there some Acorn Pet Centres where I stay - I've had to stop going into them because I can't bare to see how the poor animals are kept. The rabbits are in cages (if you can even call them that) that there's barely enough room for them to turn round in - they basically have to sit in the same position all day. It breaks my heart so I don't give them my money! :'(

They were in glass containers here. For a bag of hay they were charging £4 and for the same bag in the local pet shop it's only £4 so they must make huge amounts of profits if a small pet shop can afford to charge that..
