Hi all.

I am wanting to seriously add another 1 or possibly 2 more sows to my family. Now all of my piggies live separately after failed attempts to bond either as pair's or a whole group but I really want Leo to live permanently with a friend but I don't know whether to add a baby or another adult and how will I go about it since I am so bad at the bonding of them. 8...

I just don't want Leo to be on his own as Zee and Fudge are a lot older than him, I've tried Zee and Fudge. Leo and Zee all failed within a night for the girls and two days for Leo and Zee before Zee bit Leo and drew blood. Then Leo and Fudge lived together for a week but Fudgie got sick and then I separated them and I haven't had the courage since. I just think he is to much for them energy wise and I don't want the girls to live with the stress and I just know Leo wants a cuddly pal to be with.

May you help me with some kind advise. :)

Book in Leo for full residential boar dating at Crawley Guinea Pig Rescue! That is by far the safest way of achieving a bond at no risk to you or your boy. During the week long stay, a dating guest boar will meet up to three rescue boars with suitable breaks in between. If a bond is promising it will then be stress tested at the rescue to make sure that it will survive the move into new surroundings in their forever home. If there is no success, a boar can come back at a later time for another round with different boys. Most boars find a compatible friend during their first visit; with very few exceptions, the rest do so during their second trip.
If Leo is neutered, he can also date sows at the rescue!
You may find Suzygpr's boar dating illuminating: http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?59233-Boar-Dating-Service-Wales

You are very lucky to have another rescue that offers full boar dating not far from you. there may be a waiting list, as full boar dating is very time consuming, but it is by far the best way to create a stable boar bond and well worth the wait and any extra travel! http://crawleyguineapigrescue.org/

Thank you for the link's. Leo is neutered, and I would like to add another sow/s to my family. I just hope that 1 hour isn't to much for my dad to travel as I still don't drive yet...sadly.
I really thought about the dating for him but didn't know what it cost or even where would do it, how long he'd be gone and such and even if I could allow him to be away! I get very emotional without my pets.
