Adding another pig?

Well a thought accurred to me - most of you guys know that francesca has started picking on gwen, trying to dominate her... well i was wondering if adding another younger female pig to the group would help? I have the room.. and thought if this would maybe give fran someone "below" her, she may stop trying to pick on gwen...? I havent a clue if this would work so I'm running the idea past you guys! what do you think?
 
I am not sure whether adding just one little piggy to a well established group is a good idea - she can so easily end up as a bullied outsider.

I would either go for adding a couple of youngsters or separating Gwen and Fran, and finding either a girl or another neutered boar for one of them.
 
ok thanks was just a thought. id love another little piggy but dont want her to be bullyed or be an outsider. I also dont want to seperate them if i dont have to - at the minute things are ok - still a bit of attitude every now and again but nothing too serious. No terrible fighting or anything...although fran still trys it with gwen if she gets too close.
I could afford to and have room for one more piggy, not sure about stretching it to two though. So maybe ill just leave it for a while and see what happens.

Have you considered a neutered boar, this could be a good match if you chose the right chap and it might stop the girls from bickering! Just a thought. Not guaranteed to work but I would think it's more likely than adding a third sow

I have a neautered boar - bless him - and he doesnt do much to stop the girls bickering lol x He dodges the handbags and mooches away :))

They are already mummy with her neutered boar son and a rather fractious daughter. In fact, they are the trio that Jools (PiggiePooh) initially rehomed from Danielle (dan2sl).

But I am glad that Fran is calming down a bit.

I know that Jools had one of her sows living with the group, but you need to find the right character, and that will not be easy if you haven't got the possibility of switching round at will that she had.
