Hi
I have two boars who live as neighbours. I have the opportunity to rehome 3 bonded girls in their own enclosure. My boys aren't neutered so I know they'd have to be kept separate in their own enclosures. They all have c&c cages and can meet/sniff at the connecting grids. My question is, would it be cruel to have 3 girls in an enclosure by the boys. Would they enjoy the new company or would it stress them out being by girls and not being allowed to be together? Thank you

As the boys do not live together, then you can have sows in the room (if the boars lived in the same cage, then you could not add any sows even into the same room as them), but it is going to excite them when they smell girls. People do keep single boars and sows in the same room without issue but it is going to cause a stir initially. You may need to rethink the cages being adjoining and instead leave a gap between them so you can assess how things actually go and how riled up the boys get.
You also need to be aware that boars can become determined and can climb grids to escape their own cages to get in with girls. You'd ideally need to add lids to the boys' cages so they can't get out.

Thanks, when I first separated the boars after they lost their bond they were very angry and chewing the bars etc. Not sure if I want them to be riled up again sows in the room. My plan is to get the boys neutered but its expensive , in my area its £200+ per pig
