I found a bonded male and female pair who have been surrendered for adoption today at our local feed store. The piggies are 1 and 2 years old and have been vet checked and both fixed( spayed and neutered).
As we are still looking for a friend for Spooky, would this pair be workable? Spooky is not fixed, nor do I intend on having her fixed as I am terrified to do so ( after the loss of Sundae).
I am in no hurry and am looking for the best solution, so if you think this is not good then so be it.

Hi! It would be an option, but it all depends on the personalities are working out. Some well bonded pairs are not keen on including a third. If you can take Spooky to meet them at the rescue and see whether they gel or not, that would be best.

It should be fine, especially if they are all the same age. Would you be able to return the piggy if it fails?

Go for it if you can. Are the shop prepared for you to try a bonding session? Otherwise you may end up with a couple and Sundae still on her own 🤔

She was spayed because she was living with the malr but I could double check for sure
I think thats unnecessary if so .But its done so thats that lol👍 i thought it was rabbits that you should get the spay and neuter done for opposite sex bonds?

Sorry for the long silence, the holidays had us running like crazy!
So when I went to see the bonded pair again, they had been adopted! Good thing for them as they went to a home where they were the only two piggies. No others have come up!
I have checked the rescues and aspca and the babies and girls go very quickly and it seems that there are always little boys needing a home. After the whole surgery experience with Sundae I do not want to geta boar and neuter him just to risk losing him! We tried one older female and Spooky was not impressed, they just did not get along.
I guess I will have to staulk the rescues/aspca every day to see if another little girl or neutered male comes up....I am sure there will be some as Christmas piggies find their way to being rehomed 😞
Spooky is cuddly and playful so for now I will take my time to find the right match

Sorry to hear that! :( I hope you find a match for Spooky soon!
