Hello latest news to what me and pepper are up to its coming up to 4 weeks after being neutered, we are waiting for a home check from our local rescue centre so if they like us we will be adopting two girl guinea pigs for pepper and me of corse :(|) I'm feeling a tad impatient but only cause I'm excited for more little cuties running about the place not sure how long the process will take any ideas. And anything I need to know from going from one guinea pig too three I will be purchasing a 8 ft play pen too when the girls arrive and pepper has his own room, my cage is a wardrobe I have converted would say its around 6/7 ft and the rescue are very happy With the pics I have sent them x
 
I am sure that you cannot wait, but please be aware that while a boar is mostly safe after 4 weeks, he is not 100% safe until a full 6 weeks post op. There is a small but crucial difference!

I have a surprise baby (my Tegan, born here on 26rd October 2011) from a supposedly safe over 5 weeks post op boar, just to prove that particular point. The boar in question was at a high standard rescue (which has since closed), spending a couple of days with some rescue sows prior to going to his forever home. The whole episode really upset the rescue lady in question! It may be rare, but I have since heard of several other cases that happened at that late stage.

Any good UK rescue will wait a full 6 weeks until a neutered boar is allowed with girls. I haven't heard of any babies after 6 weeks.

Your cage sounds great and with the run they will have loads of space to explore. :)) Is the rescue helping you with introductions with pepper at the rescue ?/. We are sure your wait will be worth it and soon your house will be filled with wheeking... ;)

I really can't wait:(|) ,the rescue will check my house first if that goes well witch I'm certain it will then I'm to go too the rescue with pepper too met all the girls and see who he's gets on with the most x
