Johnny (DS) and I built this basic c&c floor pen (we have plans for improvement, but it'll do for the moment...)

I climbed inside, lowered myself to the floor and offered Jujube and Roly a piece of cucmber each. They were in the tunnel at the time, but ventured out. I lured J. onto my lap while feeding R. with my left hand.

Wow that is great, they clearly have alot of trust in you, if i did that mine would run and hide thinking there had been a total eclipse and worry that they would get squashed to death with my big fat bum!

Oh, wow! They really trust you to look after them well if they do that so soon! x)

I'm so pleased to see so many positive comments! :) Being used to cats and dogs, I thought the piggies were taking an awful long time to get used to me! They still run and hide and are quite nervous. I think I'll need to fit a block and tackle to pull me out when I do this again, though! Poor son had quite a struggle getting me up and out!

They have obviously settled in really well. Just a tip - if you put them on a sofa or chair, and you sit on the floor, you are at eye level to them, and may be able to get them to come to you, sit in your hand and possibly even climb on you a bit. I have two that do this, and they are both lickers too - it's a great feeling when you are accepted into the herd!

Amazing, well done:a19: I ve had mine for a year and a half and they would not like me sitting in their cage. They run in the house every day (well, run for Ian, Henry is sitting on his ever growing bum at the mo{:| ), sometimes they enjoy me sitting with them but quite often they just run off, even if I offer food, they just snatch it from my hand. So good stuff, and cute piggies, they look very friendlyx)

Wonderful. Thank you for sharing, that's really put a smile on my face for you. It's lovely when piggies accept you!

Thank you, everyone! Stand by, though! If you hear a loud screeching coming from the Dunblane area, it'll be the chaps when I try to lift them back up into their bedroom! Ulp! Even with a towel round them, they weren't too happy about being lifted down. Maybe now they know that they had a good time down there, they won't mind so much tomorrow...

Well, the move from the floor pen to the bedroom went very smoothly indeed! I wrapped Roly in a towel and popped him in (had to chase him first, though!), but couldn't catch Jujube (I'm not as young and supple as I used to be!) Johnny (DS), however, just leaned over, picked him up and popped him through the door of their bedroom. Not a squeak! Phew!
