Hello,

My piggies have so far never had grass.

I got them in October - as the weather is starting, albeit slowly, to warm up - wondering how to start getting them adjusted to grass?

Thanks
x

I started my 10 pigs with a small handful every few days - increasing to a large handful each day - by the time it was warm enough to go outside, they were fine with it and loved being outside pretty much all day ;)

Sodapops swears by cutting it from the front grass with her kitchen scissors :(|)

When the new grass comes through in the Spring it can be very rich, so keep grazing times to a minimum for the first few weeks to prevent bloat :)

lmao god knows what the neighbours must think :)) when you have 10 hungry pigs screaming at me, i cannot be concerned whether the neighbours think I'm feeding my human children with a selection of grass and dandelion leaves :p

God i cannot wait till the warmer weather - i can give my scissors (and back) a break for a few weeks :))

Look on the bright side......I gotta go to either Hampstead heath, Regents park or Hyde park with scissors then put it in a container and bring it back on the tube....inbreeding lol x

You're lucky you get dandelion leaves, it's a rare and special occasion when I find some!

I sneak into the garden at the back of the property I live in under cover of darkness! I think it's a communal garden, but I'm actually not sure ?/
