Hi, my 2 year old sow Lottie had a URI a month ago, she was on antibiotics and then got diarrhoea. A stool test was performed by the vet and they found she had roundworms, she has had a 5 day treatment of panacur at a 0.2ml dosage once per day. The diarrhoea stopped after 3 days, returned on the 5th day, and then went away again on the 7th day after treatment.

It has been 1 week now since she stopped treatment, and suddenly just now she did a pool of watery diarrhoea again, the colour is slightly lighter than usual but looks normal. She is eating lots of hay, I've limited veggies very harshly the past month and have been supplementing with vitamin C and probiotics the whole time.

She has dropped 100g in weight since her URI but she's maintaining her current weight pretty well for the past 2 weeks, I've been trying to get the weight back on her with syringe feeding.

I just don't know why she suddenly got diarrhoea again, it smells quite bad like it did before also. Is it possible she needs longer on the dewormer, or a different dewormer? She isn't bloated at all and has a pretty good appetite, she has been a little more picky such as not eating pellets, but she eats lots of hay and ravishes veggies in the small amounts I give her.

Is it wise to get another stool test done? The vet wasn't specific on what they actually tested for, they just said 'everything' but I'm wondering about coccidia possibly alongside the roundworms due to the bad smell of her stool... any advice is welcomed, do I not give her veggies at all now? Should I keep syringe feeding? Thanks in advance, it has been a rough 4 weeks for me and Lottie but we're hanging in there!
