Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on the forum. I Have few questions on piggies and dental issues.

Just to let you know I have also changed the name of my piggies since Fifi is now called Bella and Flash is now Hero .

I have been a bit concerned about my piggies as a result am going to see Simon Maddock next Wednesday afternoon.

Bella has very slightly slanted front teeth apart from this she is eating fine, no weight loss, except she can be a little grumpy and teeth chatter at me, which I think might be related to her teeth.

Hero mouth pulls so to speak, and can get hay stuck between his teeth. In the past he has what appears to be like coughing up food, but this has resolved itself. His front teeth look fine, but tends to eat slower then Bella.

As these are my first pair of piggies, ( it is almost 7 months since I got them, their roughly 1 year 7 month old) I don’t have any experience with after care of Dental issues.

I was wondering if there is any important things I should be aware of during treatment but most importantly aftercare is my main concern especially if anything needs doing.

Thanks

You are seeing Simon, he is one of the best piggy vets in the country and especially with dental issues, so just follow whatever he says. He really is that good. Your piggies are in the safest of hands

Thanks to both of you for your help, hopefully fingers crossed, everything will be resolved next Wednesday! :)
