We have 3 very young sows all came from the same place. When we first got them Molly appeared to the dominant female and the other two seamed to accept it, now only days later Mo has decided she wants to be dominant one and now bites the back of Molly. Molly appears not to retaliate and gets on with her business. However I am worried that this will continue as Molly is just running away from it.

It doesn't appear to be continuous all day, however it is quite often, however I just wanted to know if this is just because it is early days or something to watch out for?

Currently they are in a natural cage inside. To be moved into a more spacious hutch when it gets warmer.

Many thanks for any advice.

Hi i think it may be just a dominance thing and they are having a go at each other as they are still young and are still trying to all be the boss ::)
However if Mo makes Molly bleed whilst biting her then i would separate as a last resort otherwise Milly will live with it as its not really affecting her but is just getting bugged :D
Just make sure they all have a dome or hide out each in which they can escape into O0

Lets hope they sort their problems out :smitten:

Many thanks, I will make sure they each have there hide away. Thanks again.

No problem O0

Thats what this forum is about learning stuff that you didnt know before - where do you think i learnt it all from ::) ;D
