Need a little advice, new to fleece! Today 2 lovely cosies arrived (thanks pawsup, they are lovely) I got them for Cookie and Treacle... Popped them into their run and have never seen them so scared!! Both ran off and hid, then froze in fear.
Never seen the girls bothered by anything before, so I thought I'd give them a wash just to neutralise any smells....

Should I use powder and which temperature do you recomend? Thanks, will post some pigtures as soon as they stop panicing over them.... Silly piggies :))

If they're not dirty yet I'd just wash them on low with a little or no powder. I've started washing mine at 50 now with no problems.

yeah i just chuck mine in with a capsule, no softner, 40 will do for now then if they get particularly mucky i do a 60 and they're all fine, i cant do a 50, machine goes in 20's lol.

I have one of those from pawsup only Tyler goes in, everyone else lies on top. Well fuzzy got it stuck on his head rolleyes God knows how long he was running round like that for...

So now it's relagated to the sensible pair, winston & flinn and the other two have cosy cups lol :))

I bought one of these from Pawsup aswell. My piggy would not go anywhere near it at first, just something new I guess.I wash mine one a week, along with his fleece blankets on a quick wash(40 degree),I also tumble dry them too, have tumble dried the cosy everytime and it has never shrunk. They are perfect.

Thanks, have just popped them in the washer, now off to do some ironing then the washing up and food shopping (While Rach goes to watch the football with her dad) Something is wrong with today I feel :)) :))

Am looking forward to trying the cosies again tonight!

Ha ha :)) I would have loved to have seen that! Maybe Fuzzy thought it was his crown and he was King Pig!

I just ordered my cosy :)
Can I ask, why no softner? I used it on the rugs that my pig has playtime on, Is it bad for them?

:)) this did make me giggle!

Sure they'll get used to them soon Lee! Let us know how they find them once washed!:)

The softener seals the surface, stopping the wee sapping away making the piggies all soggy. :)

No softner then, thank you I will remember that once my new cosy arrives :)
