Hi there,
Now i know some of you guys are uber knowledgeable so i thought i'd ask your opinion.

Kates babies are now 11 days old, Larry and Big Bertha are doing really well, but Tiny tim just doesnt seem to be putting weight on, despite CC being given as a boost and having lone time with Momma.

Now my question is this, Larry is getting rather Amorous with Momma pig, should i be worried or do i need to take him out? his weight yesterday was 140 grams ( double what Tiny tim is ) and he is able to eat and drink from the water bottles on his own.

I know you all say 3 weeks but i am getting a little concerned that he is going to give his momma or sister a surprise they dont need :red.

Larry Lamb-pig and Tiny Tim have already had run time with Phil and got on really well so i know that i can at least house Larry with another male ( subject to lots of scrutiny obviously)

Any ideas?

Baby boars practise before their guns go "live". Larry is currently still to young and small to do any damage.

Suzy recommends that separating boars should take the weight into consideration as well - she recommends separating boars at about 8 1/2 oz or three weeks - whatever comes earlier. Mummy will come into season again between 15-17 days after giving birth. That is usually just about too early for young boars, but some members have separated at about 16-17 days when their boys were very well developed, rumbly boys and they were very worried.

Tiny can stay in with mummy for much longer - he is simply too small and will profit more from being with her.

Brilliant :) many thanks for that . I shall see how we go with Larry, he is rumbly, humpy and just about ready for anything he get a go on lol.
I can see that he'll be having trial runs but I was just worried that he would do the deed and I'd end up with a preggers pig or 2 again , and that's really not wanted {:|

And yep with Tiny he shall be getting extra special attention :)

The earliest documented brother-sister pregnancy is 24 days, according to guinealynx; which is one of the reasons why they are so keen on the three weeks cut off.
