Most of you know i only have one piggy called Lincoln. He is very happy at the moment as i give him loads of attention while not working. I am soon going to be in full time work (with any luck :<>) and i think he will become lonely. The place i am in at the moment is to small for any other piggies. I have put a diposit down on a new house which i wil have a guinea pig room :<> so plenty of space.
I want two more guineas from a rescue centre. I don't know wether to get 2 sows or 2 boars though. I will have a C&C cage with a divider with Lincoln on one side and the other 2 together on the other side.
I don't want to get Lincoln neutered And as the girls wouldnt be near him that shoudlnt be a problem. However I'm worried he will get upset with two girls he can't get to. Having two boars was my 1st thought but I'm scared they will fight even if there brothers later in life. I wouldn't want 3 guinea pigs on there own. So boars or sows?
Sorry for the longish post 8:). Any advice would be great.

Could Lincoln not be paired with a male himself? Three males would fight probably. I wouldn't consider sows unless Lincoln was neutered because even the most careful of people can have accidents my boys got in with my sows for a night of passion but thankfully no pregnancies happened.

Good luck with your decision! :)

thankyou sunshineandtwinkle. i would be scared to pair lincoln with another male as his very spoilt and i cant see him wanting to share anything now lol. I'm scared he would get hurt aswel. I will defiently consider it though. :)

Some rescues allow you to take your pig to the rescue to ensure a good bonding as well. :)

i am getting a friend for scruffy who is a lone gp and very spoilt indeed! but my mum who looks aftrer him in the day whilst i am at work is moving away and he will be all lonely all day, so i am getting him a friend.

as sunshineandtwinkle mentioned, rescue centres do let you take your piggy there to see if they bond or not!

i am sure he will love a friend! :)

You are not far from Hopperhaven in Redditch, Louise usually has some really nice piggies and she is very helpful:)

That sounds ideal for you! I am sure Louise would let you bring Lincoln along to see if he likes any of her single boars, it is obvious very quickly wether they will get long or not:)

Like everyone else has said why not take him to a rescue so he can chose his own friend? Good luck with wat ever decision you make.:)
