I live in rented accomodation and we aren't strictly allowed pets.. We used to house our pigs in a nero 3 so could hide them easily if the landlady ever needed to come round.

Not that they've grown they need something a bit bigger.

Any suggestions on what we can buy to easily house two piggies who have no outdoor space? I'm guessing hiding them is out of the question now!

i would say a nero 4 to they fit nicely into my wardrome when land lady visits although now i just pop them up stairs and tell her my 3 year olds asleep so see cant go up

Is it healthy for them to have a nero 4 and no run - they would live in there all the time as they have no run.

Would they be happy in that?

If you wanted to make them a run so they can have some floor space a few times a week then grab some c and c grids an off cut of lino and some newspaper...

The c and c grids fold up and you can roll the lino away and pop them in the cupboard or under the bed etc...

The lino rolls out, put the c and c grids on it... Pop newspaper to soak up any wee and you have a quick and easy pop up run!

I just do what jane suggested, put some grids up, and let them run around in that. The grids break down flat, and are actually designed to be shelving/storage! so if you get any questions you could say it was something you bought for extra storage

On another note, have you actually asked about keeping pets? When we rented our lease said strictly no pets. We phoned up to ask and they said they really just consider dogs and cats to be the ones that cause problems and because we had sought permission it was fine.

i agree, my old landlord stated that and I called to ask, on the off chance as I really wanted a pet, they said as long as the animal's caged and not left to free roam it was fine. As long as I knew I'd have to pay for cleaning or repair if the pet in question wrecked anything!

They are an estate agency so have been pretty strict about other things. I can try I suppose!

If I had them in a run for half the day and in a nero 3 overnight would this be cruel? I don't really like putting them in a smaller space.
