hi all, my two girls are only used to going outside on the concrete, normally I put a fleece down under their run for them :)) I have now got a nice patch of grass sorted in the garden and have set up their run and intend to leave this up all the time.

Can anyone advise me how long to leave them on the grass the first few times to get them used to eating it? as I do not want to upset their tummies. Should i do something like 20mins? and then bring them in for a bit and do another 20mins later on? or could i leave them out for longer?

How long should i do this before I can happily leave them out for most of the day when it's really nice?

thanks

Well they went out today for couple of hours, I put lots of hay in their little wooden house inside the run and they did lots of munching in there so don't think too much grass was eaten. Hopefully their tummies will be ok and this lovely weather will continue and they can go out most days.

Hope I didn't leave them out too long for first time in grass, if anyone has any advice would be grateful........

You did right. Just keep an eye on their poos. They tend to go a bit softer when they have had lots of rich newly grown grass, but they shouldn't turn into diarrhea.
