Junior Guinea Pig
Hi everyone, I am looking for advice on how best to manage my little herd and keep them happy! I have 4 piggies, all quite young, 3 girls and a boy, who I plan to have neutered when he is old and big enough.
I currently have them in a large c and c cage with a partition to separate the boy, allowing interaction but no contact. I am thinking this is the best thing for them, to give him some company, and to increase the chance of successful introduction after he has recovered from his op.
I just want to make sure I'm doing the best thing keeping them like this, rather than separating the boar completely?
They are communicating with him, but he and one female seem to be taking quite a bit of interest in each other and trying to chew through. I have the grids overlapped in the middle and 9 inch correx at the sides of the partition where this is not possible.
Thanks guys, want to make them all happy both now and later when they can all be together!
