The two boars that I mentioned before seem to definitely be fighting now :(
I still haven't actually SEEN any agression but when I took them out this afternoon, one had a couple of fresh cuts/bites around his nouth and nose. It is always that one who has had injuries - the other one has not had a scratch on him.
I am reluctant to keep them together now - I can separate them temproarily into upsrairs and downstairs in the hutch, but I wouldn't want to keep them like that permanently.
Is there anything I can do? Is there any chance they will get along given more time? Or once they start fighting is it all over?
Any advice welcome.

I personally would seperate - sometimes it's just arguing but if one is getting injured then it's time to seperate.

Can you make a splt C&C cage maybe? www.guineapigcages.com or could you split your hutch in half with mesh so they can't get to eachother to do damage but can still smell/see/talk to eachother? :)

I can't have any more animals indoors (no room) and I can keep them separated in the hutch, but its not really ideal - I don't want either of them on their own on a permanent basis and I don't really want to get more guineas to pair them with - I need to stop somewhere as I already have 3 others, 10 rabbits, 8 gerbils and baby number 5 due in December!
I'm wondering if it would be best to try and rehome one of them and pair up the other with a female? It certain;y wouldn't be done without a great deal of consideration and I would be very picky about who they went to, but I do want to do what's best for both of them.

Only consider putting him in with a sow if hes neutered O0

And all i can say is i hope there is no more fighting or scuffles :-\ Just keep an eye on them and if it does get any worse then they will have to split up and if you decide on giving one or both a new home then I'm sure people can help you on here and you still egt to see them on photos :D

I have now separated them as I found Chewy had a cut right next to his eye and I just don't want to risk him getting seriously hurt.
And yes - would obviously neuter if I was to put on e with a girl ;)

Hi Loopylou, just been going through this with my boys. It's upsetting isn't it. Mine are 3 brothers but luckily one of them gets on with both the other 2. I've separated the pen into 2, with the aggressive one on his own, but as he gets on with Teddy, I let them run round together and swap them about a bit so he has company. When they're separated they're desperate to get to each other. It's really sad. I'm going to get Jacob neutered and hopefully he'll be able to go in with my girls.

Think you've done the right thing separating them. Jacob bit Harvey's nose quite badly last week, he had to go to the vets and have gas to have a loose bit clipped off, and he's on antibiotics. I'm like you in that I don't want them to live on their own. Hope you sort it out soon.

Well, I've just ordered a new hutch and when it comes I will try bonding them from scratch and then putting them uin that as it will be completely neutral, so fingers crossed it might work.

Good luck with it Loopylou. I had to seperate my 2 back in April and have tried re bonding with no success but they live next door to each other in a c & c. I feel so bad for them though because when one is out having their floor time, the other one sits by their door waiting :(
I am starting to think about neutering them and getting them a girlfriend each but then I have 2 other pairs of boars who could fall out as a result of seeing/smelling the sows. It is a pickle knowing what to do for the best:-\
