You can wipe it with dishwashing detergent as often as possible. Moisure may be getting through the roof and wetting the ceiling, so fixing leaks in the roof should prevent it. You might need to take the ceiling out to clean and dry it on a hot summer day 🙁 I'm sure other people will know more about this too. I hope you can fix it 🙏🏡

Oh no!
You can clean it off with white vinegar (also diluted bleach but if the piggies are in there then that may not be a good idea).
The roof will need to be checked and fixed if there are leaks. You then need to ensure adequate ventilation in the shed going forward to stop it from happening again.

thank you, I'm assuming its a big no to living in here until its fixed?

Yes, it's fairly poisonous and the spores floating in the air can cause an allergic reaction, headaches, coughing etc. If anyone is in there it needs to be well ventilated. Clean up any spilt material with rubber gloves and wash your hands after. It won't burn your skin, but isn't very healthy stuff generally 🙁

Once it's cleaned off and any leaks rectified you can paint it with an anti mould paint. I used a Dulux one on the damp patch in our hall 3 years ago and it's not come back.

thanks guys! weve got the roof sorted (hopefully!🤞🏻), vents in, now i just need to clean the stains off as all of this is completely dry! however its plaster board and I'm
worried about it going soggy!

would vinegar still be the best option?

Could you bin the old boards and install new ones? It's probably permeated with mould and gruck so cleaning it could be messy and it could disintegrate anyway.🙁

unfortunately not☹️ i have a matter of days before the girls are moving in so would be impossible.. its definitely dried though and more staining then anything, i just hope its no longer dangerous!
