When I left for work this morning Spot was a bit quiet and not eating so I put her a snugglesafe in and called the vets to make an app. I have just got in now and she is very still her breathing is shallow and her eyes look red and runny. We are off to the vets at 7.30 but does anyone have any ideas on what it could be please? Thanks

First instincts - maybe a URI, allergy etc.
You are doing the right thing taking her to the vet, a course of antibiotics will help.
Good luck and keep us posted - we're here to help and I have a little one on ab's at the minute so know how it knocks them around :(

Its both her breathing is very shallow and she is hardly moving. She is 3 and was fine yesterday. She hasnt had anything different food wise and Stripe who she lives with is fine

Should I take them both for company? I would if it was rabbits

Sorry to hear Spot isn't well. I always take my sick piggy's friend along to the vets, I've even left a pair when one has had surgery - I work on the basis that they will be happier with their buddy. I hope your vet can sort her out, sending get well hugs.

Ok will do and thank you

Spot has gone. When we got to the vets her eyes had got worse and were unresponsive to light, she also didnt respond to any stimuli and couldnt stand up properly

OMG - that has really shocked me, I'm so sorry :Ayociexp118:
Did the vet give you an indication of what it was ?/
Run free sweet girl at The Bridge, play safe...I'm really stuck for words :...")

He said probably an abcess or tumour in her brain he said they can build up with no symptoms until the cells start dying or pressure builds up
