Advice Please: Wheeking When Pooing

I noticed about a week ago that one of my sows was squeaking when pooing. Taken her to the vets tonight and he had a good feel and a check and couldn't find anything untoward. So she's now on Metacam twice a day and I have to take her back in a week. Will be seeing a different vet next time so hopefully will be able to get a second opinion. Fingers crossed please that we get an answer soon or it clears up :( I can't believe how much vets cost!
 
Did the vet say what they thought it was? squeaky poos can be a sign of a UTI in which case they would need antibiotics but it can also be a sign of interstitial cystitis or even stones.
 
Please keep an eye on her and see a vet again. Like Helen has said, it is usually the sign of a beginning urinary tract infection, a recurring inflammation of the bladder walls (interstitial cystitis) or a stone.

Did they test any urine with a wee stick to test for blood? Squeaking when pooing may indicate a few things including Urine Infection - if so it would need antibiotics to help clear it up, Septrin is often the first choice antibiotic for a UTI, although we have had success with Baytril too... If her bladder is a little inflamed by cystitis as opposed to infection then the Metacam would certainly help as it is a painkiller and anti inflammatory. I would give it till Monday and if she is still crying then go back and ask about a possible infection. As always if it gets worse or she goes downhill get to a vet ASAP. How is she in herself? Eating and drinking okay?
