I would like to start my piggies on Sience Selective, but have noticed it contains Alfalfa.

Flash has problems with crystals in her wee and the vet said alfalfa can contribute to her problem.

Is this correct and is it a bad idea to start using SS?

Cheersxx

Have a look on the calcium content of all pellet brands and then go for the one with the lowest. Alfalfa is particularly high in calcium, but it depends on how much there is in the pellets. The calcium content should be listed in the ingredients list if you do a goodle search. You will find that all pellets contain some vital calcium. Alternatively, give less SS than you have been feeding before. Perhaps somebody who is more versed on this subject can help you.

PS: If your girl is on antibiotics, ask for avipro plus probiotics - they are the only probiotic not to contain extra calcium.
