Hi , havent posted for ages but need advice. My new piggie is only 6 weeks and i can see black flecks on the fur. Nothin running and shes not scratching a lot. Skin is fine no soreness. As she is only a baby what can i use ? Is ivermectin 0.5% not suitable for baby piggies ?
Thanx in advance :)p

I'd be inclined to try a series of baths first, one bath a week for two weeks, using an anti-parasitic shampoo e.g. Fleaordie, Lice 'n' Easy - then if she's still got the problem in two weeks it'd be a good next step to treat with ivermectin. :)

When you bath with either of the shampoos I believe it's best to wash and rinse once, then lather up a second time and just massage it in for around a minute and rinse straight away (instead of allowing to soak in for 5-10 minutes), with her being a younger piggie.
