Sorry I keep starting new topics as I'm new to all this and need advice so I can do the best for my boys.
As you know I have the two and they get on very well. One is still a baby the other a grown up who was rescue and they work together nicely.
Now they have a big pen I wanted to get more however I'm told that I should not get any more boars as they will hurt one another and I should put them back in the cage and get as many sows as I like in the pen. But that defeats the object of why I built the pen, it was so the boys had more room to play. So can I get neutered girls? Or is that all I'm allowed? I have no room for another pen in the house and I hate the thought of having any live outside.

So is this it for our piggie family?

Three or more boars together would fight more than likely but people have done it. If you google barmy4boars that has lots of info on bonding three. But personally I wouldn't chance it as you could end up with 3 seperate pigs.

As for getting a female. Spayed sows are hard to come by but if you did find one then she would have to live with just one boy as the two boys would fight for dominance. It is like a pack of lions usually it is one male to a gang of females.

more than 2 boars

females that have been fixed are usually only done for medical reasons like my zoe. you have to lovely boys and a new C&C cage time you add food bowls, toys to play with hidey holes/house there will just be enough room for the two of them.
three boars can fight and with 3 two can pick on the one, so for now i would stay with the 2 boys and give them toys like tunnels, houses to hide in and they will have funppp

Don't get a girl. As soon as a sow is in the same room, the boys will start fighting with each other. It happened to us. We had sows and took on neured boars. the boars where bonded and adored each other, they lived in a totally seperate part of the house quite happily. But as soon as they go introduced to the girls then they fought and drew blood. It was horrible. now they can't live together anymore. So we have 2 pens with 1 boy and a few girls in each

That happened to me too. Sunshine and Twinkle lived happily before I got Flora and Fleur but once we had the boys escaping into the girls pen overnight (thankfully no pregnancies) they were never the same again and they now have seperate cage mates! If it wasn't for the boys I would have 6 pigs, but instead I have 10 as I like them all in groups/pairings...lol Wouldn't change them for the world though!
