Hi so I've recently found out that my guinea has static mites. It's being treated with spot on, shampoo and vitamins. However is there a way to stimulate hair growth on a bald patch? Thanks

Ps I'm new here
 
No I have researched and found suitable and apparently effective medication.
 
A vet would be able to determine what type of mites you're dealing with and help provide the correct treatment. It's probably best l get your little ones seen by the vet xx

Hi and welcome

Your piggy is getting the necessary medication. Please make sure that you leave at least 48 hours after every application to the skin before any new treatment to allow the active ingredients to be absorbed.

There is no way to stimulate hair growth, but hairs should grow back within a month, and they grow quite quickly once they do.
 
Thankyou. I would see a vet but I shall see how this treatment goes first as many other piggie owners have tried it. I am almost certain of the type of mites due to the symptoms.

We do not recommend home treating parasites/fungal on spec. Please also be aware that most pet shop products are too low dosed to be effective and that the wrong treatment can do more harm than good.
