After 1 full day of research, I am officially in love with guinea pigs

They are just so stinking cute! They just seem like the perfect pet for me! And it really stinks because I can’t have them! I have a hamster right now, and I mean, the cage I’m planning to build for him will probably be large enough to house a pair of guinea pigs, but Po ( that’s the hamsters name, if you couldn’t figure that out) is only a few months old and, don’t get me wrong, I love him, but gosh DARN I really want a guinea pig.

Anyway, that was fun to write about, time to research this dream pet some more

You don’t have a guinea pig. They need to live in at least pairs. Make sure you have funds to look after them and the space to house them as well. Those are the most important things.

I'm on the flip side to you. Love my piggies more than I could ever love any human or animal but I would love a hamster. You can't really spoil piggies with cute treats and toys once they've got what they need they don't really get through things verry quickly other than forage but hamsters can be spoiled rotten with forage, hides, chew toys and tunnels, the possibilities are endless and hamster accessories are so cheap compared to piggie things. We may be a guinea pig forum but we love hammies too and I would love to see a picture of Po.

Lol, I couldn't choose so I chose both! I have (my hamster) Barley who lives in a 3000 sq inch cage and (today!!) I'll be getting 3 piggies. I find it quite funny though that my hamsters cage is larger than my guinea pig's cage which is a 2x6 C&C If at all possible, get both! They are both so different and are perfect, precious little babies nonetheless.
