BonBon2010
Adult Guinea Pig
Can I dare even type this out?
For the last 16 months, BonBon has given me a lot of worry at her steady weightloss. This week alone, has been really worrying, and I actually thought I was going to loose her. She spent Wednesday night in the vets, to be seen the next morning, as they were going to gas her and have a better look at her.
I spent the day, worrying about her, and rang them at one pm as instructed. She's was doing ok, they had a good look at her mouth and feel of her abdomen, but couldn't find anything that pointed out as a real problem for her, apart from a clicky jaw, so they sent her home with more pain relief and some fibre plex.
From the moment she stepped back in her pad, she's been brighter, happier, and dare I say, she's even thrown in some mini popcorns. I've held back a bit, as she's picked up before, but gone down hill drastically a day later, but we're now on the second day, and and she's put some more condition back on, and is looking more like herself. I don't know whether the pain relief or the fibre plex is responsible, or both, but wow, what a turn around!
X-rays are next on the cards, but if nothing further can be done, at least she's now comfortable.
This video is last night, i'll post another tonight
