after the whole guinea pig village build, that has had me all scraped, bruised, bumped, and other such random injuries, i've been constantly looking at the rescue website that my rescue piggies will be from. literally always. every time i'm on the internet, it's one of the first websites i visit. it's kind of like an incentive, as for me to adopt the four, i need a bigger enclsure, so i've been building it.

i was in a pretty foul mood, but it has instantaneously lifted, and i'm ecstatic, purely because the rescue site has a big fat RESERVED sign next to the beautiful little piggies that i've been told i'm allowed to adopt. i've been talking to Layla for a while about it, and finally sorted it, and now i'm just plain happy :))

sorry for the complete randomness of this post, but i'm just SO happy right now xx>>> as i said before i adopted Alfie (8...), it's like waiting for christmas...rolleyes

Woo congratulations on your piggies-to-be! :) Soon the village will be completed and your new little one's can come to a rather swish new home! Can't wait to see photos of the little piggies!

they were advertised on the rescue and rehome section here. Muppet and Maria, and Madeline and a baby unknown, though the poor little girl is on pregnancy watch again, as Layla said she was handed into the rescue after having her three gorgeous little babies :(

i'd een looking at Muppet since before i got Alfie, but i have only girls, and in that pair, Maria was spayed, so Muppet still has his manhood. but as he's been waiting for a home for so long, a neutering is being arranged so that he'll be able to live with my girlies.

early days, but SO excited. after an otherwise awful past few weeks, this has really made my month

knowing my luck recently though, someoe will tell me that they're reserved for someone else :)) which would be typical @) but i'm pretty certain that that's not true. i'm just a pessimist. they're all just so cute drool

i know. i remember thinking how much of a shame it was that Muppet wasn't female, as with Alfie around, couldn't have had two boys in a herd anyway. poor little Alfie :( i guess i should just count my lucky stars that Muppet and Maria still needed a hime, really

It's sometimes funny how things work out. Poor little Alfie he was such a sweetie.

it is odd. though i'm a firm believer that bad things are often followed by something good and vice versa. i guess the bad (Alfie 8...) was followed by the fact that not only did i find Layla's rescue, but i can now offer an adorable little pair a home, who have been waiting for a pretty long while. if not for Alfie, i wouldn't have even thought to rescue any piggies in the first place.

p.s. little piggles, how goes the aby hunt?

As terribly painful as it was to lose little Alfie so suddenly, I'm sure he'd be happy that you've also been give at least two more piggies a very loving home :)

I'm still on the case and still hopeful there's an aby out there for us ;)

why don't you drop a line to rescues near you as an 'in advance; type thing. as most rescues say, not all of the piggies are listed online, so it might be worth a shot?

all that needs to be done to piggle village now structure wise is the collection of another ground level hutch next week, to accomodate the new piggies, and the addition of corrugated plastic roofing :)
