My piggy paperwork says they were about 13 months old. Does anyone know whether this tends to be the age they were when they were rescued? Or the age they were when you took them on?

It will depend on the rescue but usually their paperwork will state the age they are at the time of adoption. Some piggies can spend months or even years in rescue so an age at rescue wouldn't be much help....

Depending on the situation they came from the age may be more or less accurate.

Yeah, the age I think is a "best guess" for this pair, and I think they were there for about 3 months when we got them. Doesn't make a huge difference but I was thinking about boar behaviour and 14-18 months being that final hormonal surge, and based on that Timmy is either just going into it if he was 13 months when we got him, or just coming out of it if he was 13 months when he arrived. Curiosity really.
