Just wondered if agoutis normally change colour a bit in winter? Ollie pigwig is sporting some lighter patches on his neck that maybe you can see in this photo but also lighter fur around his eyes and under his chin and around his back legs! He normally has gorgeous pale silver fluffy tummy fur that makes him rather look like his darker coat on top is a stylish dinner jacket, but he's got some extra light rather long fur growing in places he's usually dark!

Its not temperature related because Ollie never gets colder than 17 degrees at the coolest seeing as his wife is always naked, but he's got a seasonal frosted coat effect anyway!

Peanut is a Lemon Agouti. I've not noticed a colour change in winter but he has got lighter and larger circles around his eyes as he's aged (5). He has also grown a very dark brown triangle under his chin/chest area where he was shaved for an abscess removal operation in the summer. Peanut also lives in doors where we keep the temperature at 15 - 17 degress at the coldest.
