Whee were just in our run (after being forcefully removed from our hutch) just minding our own business and nomming on grass when the human put in something those humans call sweeeee corn. She put it on top of our bridge so we were a bit confused as to what that yummy smell was, so we circled around and found this sweeeee corn stuff that looks a bit like a rocket!

And we had a sniff!
Esme: Yes girls the smell is definitely coming from here!

Can I ask where it was brought for you, I've been looking everywhere for corn with husks but cant find it anywhere. The girls love the husks more than the corn itself.

I'm on holiday at the moment in Oxford and in the Market today they were selling them! I got SO excited!

The human says she got it from sainsburys, they had lots of big full crates of it for 50p each. She thinks it said it was 3 for £1.20.
It was the first time she has seen corn like this, this year :)

I guess I'm off to sainsburys tomorrow then.

awww i love Tia on the video, she was like "Get out of my way, my turn to munch" HEHE

Looks like i will be going for a trip to the shops too

My goodness that was a hearty head nudge. I love your ginger piggies. I think next time you should give them two cobs, so it can be 2 pigs per cob.

When I think back to the days I used to so carefully take off the husks and silks, not knowing they were the best bits.

She may be the smallest but she certainly uses her weight when it comes to food!

They loved it! I popped it in the hutch with them and last time i looked it wasn't in the main area! They are probably snuggled up to it- daft pigs!
We don't have a waitrose nearby, but i'm glad sainsburys are selling them for a reasonable price!

I would give them 2, but they don't really eat all that much of one cob, just the husks, silks and possibly half of the corn.

Big Dave and Maggie just strip the leaves and will have a little nibble at the corn, where as Jeff and Cameo would eat the corn until they weigh 3 tonnes each rolleyes

This time of year they eat loads of husks and silks, and I eat all the corn!

Whee would like to thank Esme, our hooman went to sainsburys today and brought us some of these loverly corns. We are nomming them at the moment. x

Esne: I am glad my human went too. Whee had some more of the leafy and stringy bits today and she had the yellow corn bit. It was very yummy!

We would also like to thank Esme. Our hooman sent her man-hooman to buy us corn silks too.
Yummy

Love Carl, Johnson and Gordon

You could try growing your own next year - easy peasy and great verticals for the garden. Mine were planted a bit late ( I got the seeds for mini cobs) so have only just produced any cobs ( the plants have been huge for months!). Just gave some to Rocket and Mouse, they've never had them fresh off the plant with husks before...very excited piggies, both grabbed some and dragged them off to eat in the privacy of a paper bag each. :(|)

I find them in the husks in Lidl a fair bit, the boys seem to love them. They even like eating the corn now, fab!
