So Peanut broke into Sweeties run last night twice!! He has never been so determined! they were very happy but obviously had to seperate as it's only been 2 weeks since castration. How soon will i know if the little girl got pregnant. Hopefully not as she is only 11 weeks old.

usually a piggie pregnancy lasts about 60-70 days. OUCH! I'm shocked if he managed to make a baby, surely it'd be too painful to use it that way?

Naughty boy! She probably WAS in season considering how determined he was...

Pregnancies last about 10 weeks on average, so you are in for quite a wait!
The first signs are usually increased thirst and weight gain (weigh her weekly). Have a look at her nipples now (best take a pic as reference); one of the first surefire signs of pregnancy is when they grow and swell up.

My first (shop bought prengnant) girl was even younger and had no problems with pregnancy and giving birth to two healthy babies.

Don't beat yourself up too much - it is amazing to which lengths a determined piggy can go and has to be seen to be believed!

Oh my! I can totally relate to the determination of a naughty boar! Mine was neutered 5 weeks ago and he is still as determind as ever to get to them. I had to check with my OH that he couldn't possibly chew through the metal bars!

Ha Ha Yes i think peanut could probably squeeze himself through the bars if he tried hard enough. Will check the little lady tonight (if i can catch her!) Thanks for advice x x
