We love the readigrass people....

It all began when mummy got a nice big bag of something new...

At first we shared well we investigated...

What a great way for the piggies to start there day, I rationed the readigrass so they don't get upset tummies :).

Just a hanful between 3 it was gone in seconds... they loved it! Too be fair I don't think it will upset them anyway there tummies are pretty hardcore, they seem to never have any problems, but after reading about Elle's piggies getting an upset tummy from the readigrass I rationed it, but my piggies have had just grass which is basically the same although they seemed to like it much more :)!

I've just bought a bag of readigrass for my girls today as they have ran out of their oxbow hay and my order dosen't come until Thursday and they are reluctantly eating it as if to say "not this boring old stuff mummy" rolleyes I think they have got so used to the oxbow hay :)) they used to eat readigrass rolleyes

We are patiently waiting on our oxbow hay too :(..... Well not so patiently I ordered the timothy one of vetuk so that should come tomorrow. The orchard grass is on backorder 8...
 
They look like they really enjoyed it Joanne. Not had the bottle to give mine any more yet, maybe when my new hay arrives I'll mix it through.

I'll inform you of how mine get on tomorrow but infair they have had just grass which I do think is basically the same...

What hay you getting?
 
I stopped ordering this readigrass cos the bag just seemed full of dust all the time, so haven't ordered it for about 2 years - how do you find this bag you have? and where did you get it from? last question....is that the massive bags you can get?thanks!

The bag seems ok... yes there is some dust but nothing drastic, it makes a wild mess though :)).... I got it all over the place :red, I got it from equinecanine place? Fun88 get you a further 10% off..

I got them a couch and bed... which was just a waste of money, I shall be sticking to tunnels from now on :).

I got the 1kg bag to try :).

Don't worry honey, I didn't beat your price :(|)! About £30 for just over 4kg but got a load of other stuff too so seemed easiest just to get the lot from there.

:))... haha how did you know. I hunt the internet for ages in the hope of getting everything cheaper :red, Mine isn't in stock but I ordered 4kg timothy from vetuk today it's roughly £28 too... for future reference...

Oh you got aload of stuff did you? Oooo will there be pictures of happy piggles? I'm going to have a look at the herby mix... thank goodness I'm not moving again so my parents attic shall be filled to the brim :))... my poor parents :(.
 
They look like the loved the readigrass. I'm going to try mine on some soon, i had the free sample but not given it yet.
I love the last pictures of them all stuffed after they big eat and all cuddled up. x)

I shall be checking out those two online stores for some readigrass and nuggets soon. :)

Vetuk are good for the blackcurrant and oreono nuggets 3.99 for 2 kg :)...

They did they loved it!
 
Mine used to love that stuff but gone off it now.

never tried readigrass the brand - local petshop sells it so when I next buy bedding hay I might try it for mine.

What I tend to do is mix in the grass with the hay in the hay loft or litter tray and let them forage it out that way.

It was def a hit with my gang... :)
 
Looks like its very similar to Excel Forage which mine love too.

I buy my meadow hay by the bale from an equine feed store. It costs £4.50 per bale and weight wize I guess it must be about 30kilo ish (actually I've no idea!) but you know - its the same bale you would feed to horses.
Anyway, its gorgeous stuff always got lots of dandelions and stuff in and because its so cheap I can be very generous and it last for ages :).

I must try my girls on oxbow hay again, last time they ignored it mallethead i'll ask Traci to sneak me some :))
