air purifiers?

hi all,
i've noticed my guinea pigs have been sneezing quite a bit recently along with my mum and brother's allergies and i thought i'd try an air purifier. i've also heard that the purifiers work for smell, can anyone confirm? just wondering if any aussies on here can help me out?

I think it depends on what sort or air purifier you are thinking of?
One that just filters the air to remove allergens?

Something like that should be ok, but nothing that produces any smells which can irritate sensitive piggy respiratory systems.

If you can post a link to the sort of thing you are thinking of then we can help advise you better.
