Senior Guinea Pig
I have had Alby and fudge over 2 months now, nearer 3. And they were 2 1/2 year old adults when I got them. I am there 3rd owner. And I have the suspicion they were well handled in their first home. As Alby is quite a confident piggie now. They still don't like being picked up or I make any sudden noises/movements they run and hide. Also I find veggies fed by hand and talking to them every time you are near the cage/hutch helps them. Don't give up, remember slow and steady wins the race. Just take each day at a time. I lift them out the cage using their tubey tunnel. I say "tunnel" and usher them into the tunnel then pick them up inside the tunnel. you will get there in the end, just enjoy your piggies and have fun. That's great that they're running around! My piggies are still scared and refuse to run around. I wonder when my pigs will start to like playpen time...
