Alfalfa pellets

Hi, I am getting a baby guinea pig soon and I’m not sure what alfalfa pellets to use. I would alfalfa hay instead of pellets but my guinea pigs are all over 2 and definitely do not need it so I don’t want them eating it. I have been looking for some pellets with alfalfa but the only ones I can find are the science selective ones but I’m not sure if there are any others that are better for a 8 week old pig.

To ge honest, if your piggies' diet is otherwise good and balanced, then they don't need alfalfa at all once they are weaned. Most of us try to find Timothy hay based pellets to avoid alfalfa because of its high calcium content.

I agree. Alfalfa is not needed once they are weaned. They can eat a normal adult diet.

Can’t wait to see pictures once they have arrived and are settled.

I agree with the others.
Alfalfa is not needed and not recommended once every are over 3 weeks of age. The young piggy pellets are a gimmick and totally unnecessary.
Your baby piggy can eat the same adult pellets as your other piggies
