All Set Up Awaiting Some Piggies To Move In

That looks great! Some very lucky piggies are going to love living there. Good luck finding your furry friends.

Looks fantastic, those are going to be some lucky piggies!

Awesome cage. I might need to get some of those support bar things for my cage.

Good luck with the adoption :)

The cage came with 1 but I think 6 would be handy. 3 for under the cage and 3 for the top.

I have a grid base on my cage so the bottom is quite sturdy but the top bows out a bit and like you, I have a roof. Trouble is, those bars are quite expensive so I've held off buying some for now. Wondering if I can work out some sort of DIY hack!

Ooh so exciting! It looks gorgeous! Have you found out their names? :D

Is it still Miriam over there as head of the small animal part?

I am not sure who is head, they were on a day off when I went in. The 4 I have my eye on are called Pepper, Popcorn, Butterscotch and Noodles. They looked so gorgeous and all different colours, plus they seemed friendly as a couple came up to the bars to have a sniff and a nose while I was there. (Probably seeing if I had food )

Omg that's them! Pepper, Butterscotch and Popcorn are the ones I mentioned. I'm not sure about Noodles? I believe the other piggy was called Ginger, unless they've renamed or bonded another pig?

It's so lovely that they came up to you too, they're stunning babies :)

Noodles is one of the group of 4. Ginger was from the same owner but she lived on her own. They did say someone tried to adopt Ginger but the bonding with their existing guinea didn't work out.

I just need to wait to see if I am approved. I sent pics of my set up in on Thurs so just waiting to find put now.

Ooh yes I just looked at the thread again, my goodness they're gorgeous piggies. I remember why I was so tempted to bring them home :))

It doesn't look like I will be able to get the group of 4. They have said my cage is too small (I got the 6x2 c&c as that saw it was recommended for 4 and is 7ft long) So I might have to wait until they have a pair.

Oh really? That's such a shame :(

I have sent pictures of the indoor run area where they will get floor time when we are home. They haven't said a straight no so hopefully the floor area will show they will get a good run around outside the cage as well as in.
Oh hopefully they'll come back with a yes then. Cage looks huge to me! I mean what piggie wouldn't want to have a home as comfy as that?!

Did they say what size they wanted the group of 4 to be in?
Any chance you could extend?
It's a shame you seems to really like that group :(
Hopefully something will work out for then :)

They haven't said a size. Just that they recommend 6ftx3ft for a pair.

This is the indoor run area they will have access to when we are home so hoping this will be ok. If not I will just need to wait until they get a pair in.

That's a very nice set up you have,
Is it a c c cage?
What's the measurements in cubes if it is?
I'm not great at changing dimensions in my head :/

That's so weird that they think that's not enough for 4 pigs, that's a huge space for 2 which is good obviously but how weird :/
So I'm guessing they want some here between 8-10 x 2 for 4 then?
Hmm :/
Maybe it wouldn't be as easy to just extend yours but hopefully with the run as well you can get those girls :/

I know. All the guidance I have seen says 5x2 it suitable for 4 but 6x2 is the preferred which is why I got that one.
But it is good that they want homes with lots of space.
Worst case is I can't get the 4 but will just wait for a pair.

They didn't say. Just that they recommend a 6ftx3ft for a pair. They haven't said a definite no. I have had to send a pic of the floor time area I will be using so hopefully that will be ok.

I can believe they're saying that's too small with the attached run! It's huge!
