I'm going away tomorrow for 2 nights (spa break!) and have spent All day sorting the pigs stuff... And haven't even sorted myself yet and it's nearly 2am!

The girls got their cages scrubbed and fresh bedding..

The preparation of this break is stressful... Counterproductive I think!
 
Blimey! I need you to arrange my life! What lucky piggies. Now you really should get some rest!
 
Crunchie's peeing blood this morning... A bladder flare must've been what's been wrong with her.

She picks her moments well bless her!
 
Go away & try to relax. Crunchies had this before so tell her where her meds are & give her instructions on food. I'm sure she's very responsible & can look after herself. Lol.

Oh Jeese that brings back memories when I had heart and bladder pigs. The instruction manual read like a book! Then there was the worry of having enough meds, what if something went wrong, how much to adjust dosage if xyz happened and so on.

I love your organisation, amazing!

It sounds like your spa break cannot come soon enough! Enjoy!

I hope the vets visit has gone well. I'm glad you got to have a break, even though I know you were still thinking about your piggies and their health concerns xx
 
Fudge is back on Monday to decide what we are doing about her ovarian issue. Possibly arranging a scan Incase what they are feeling is a tumour (which is causing a cyst as it does go up and down and size but not any smaller than it is now). Who knows, it may shrink a bit before Monday! Wishful thinking I think. One of her diuretics may need to be adjusted too as her breathing is a bit unstable. Not constantly laboured yet not "normal" all the time either.

Crunchie's bladder was very sore, no crystals in urine (a first for her) but it's littered with red blood cells. She's on Septrin and some tramadol to see if it will help her appetite go back to normal- she's already maxed out on Metacam. If she's still needing tramadol by Monday she'll likely be scanned or have an X-ray too.

They are both doing not too bad considering!
 
Bless them both. They are such sweeties. Hope all goes well for them over the weekend.
