Hi,I have just gone refiill are guinea pig box (This is where we keep the food ready for their bowls)When i open upthe orignal bag a small mouse jump out and now iam unsure on whether to use the rest of the food inthe bag or get rid of it and get a new bag from the pet shop?Ive had a look for any poo`s but with their poos being small i cant see any plus with their being small pellets i dont want them to eat thepoo if their is any in their mixed in with the food....So I just want to know what you lot think I sould do?? :( :-\

I wouldn't use the food just in case- would hate to think they got poorly cos of any mouse contaminaton?! Just my opinion though- what do ohters think?

I would get rid of it, not only could they carry disease but if they had eaten any poison/bait from other places then this would be carried through into their poops and could make your piggies very ill.

Is this a sealed plastic box? You need something plastic and airtight if there are mice around.

Oh no it not the food inthe box that the mouse as got to its the actual bag of food it got to ...but yes the box is airtight :)

What a waste of food! :tickedoff: But yep I would get rid of it too. Moving my pigs tomorrow will keep pellets indoors until I can get a suitable container.

I would chuck it! If i remember mice pee constantly and as well as the poops you never know what can be transmitted to the piggies!
