My guineas are currently on excel which works out REALLY expensive comared to the Allen anmd Page pellets my rabbits are on. The A&P is about £7.50 for a great big sack (not sure of the weight!) and the bag of excel costs as much - it must be at least 3 times more expensive pro rata.
So was wondering if A&P do a guinea pig version? Does anyone use it?

They do not do a pellet food but they do do a muesli type and the Natural Petfood Company (part of Allen and Page) also do a muesli.

Ah OK. I always have avoided the mueslis but I do think A&P do good foods so I'll have to have a look into it.
I guess if its good qualiity ingredients and they don't feed selctively then it would be OK .. ?

guinea food is more expensive than rabbit because it has vat on it ,rabbit doesn't as they are classed as food item, when you buy guineas they have vat on them, rabbits do not, same as chinchillas. :)

very interesting fluff, I didn't know! I have allen & page for the guineas, they quite like it but do leave bits behind which is a shame really, I'd like to have got it for them again. It's all natural (as someone said) and looks lovely. I won't be buying it again though because of the waste :(
I use wagg optimum now, which is more expensive, but about £10-£12 for a 10kg sack and probably the cheapest of all pellet foods.
