Amyscoobybarnie
Junior Guinea Pig
From when I got Scooby and Barnie it was obvious that Barniie was constantly sneezing. After a bit of research I took him to the vet for a check up. The vet Diognosed him as being allergic to Hay and to move all their hay off the floor of the hutch and to hang it high in Hay racks so they could eat I but not be in contact with it. I did this, his sneezing improved and although it upset me not seeing them popcorn into a bundle of hay (Like they used to love doing) it meant Barnie was Healthy again.
This was last summer, now summer is beginning to pick up again. and he is sneezing more again. I am unsure whether there is a real need for concern or whether it is possible he has hayfever rather than being allergic to hay. If so is their anything for him? also Scooby has really fair quite long fur, Scooby bottom always gets filthy because of his grease gland I try and clean in daily at the moment but it still always gets mucky. would it be unkind if I cut his fur around that area ? to prevent his fur constantly getting mattered? is their any such thing as a piggy grooming centre?
please help and give advice on either problems.
