We are devastated to find out that our 11 year old son has become allergic to our piggies. We need to rehome, and have no idea where to start. They are 10 month old bonded females. We don’t want to be paid for them, but then if I advertise that, then I will, get people who have no idea getting in touch, wanting freebies. I’m so worried about finding a loving knowledgable home for them. We live in North Wales. Help and advice very gratefully received

I am so sorry to hear that.
Is there a rescue centre that you can take them to? That would be best if possible as they will be able to carry out all the right checks in finding them a new home.

We are very sad 😢

Very few rescue centres around us. I just wish someone like us could take them. They are only young, and I’d be so worried about someone breeding from them and only wanting them for that

See if a rescue place will travel to you to collect, i kno they do for cats

I could travel to them. I’ll have a look thank you

Where abouts in North Wales are you? You dont seem to have entered your location... this might help people to help you better! Also what piggies do you have exactly? You mention 10 month old girls so it would be nice to see them, your previous posts mention a long haired piggy...

North East Wales. By fab piggie boarding lady has recommenced North Wales Animal Rescue

Will put some pics on tomorrow. We are near Ruthin / Denbigh so North East Wales, about 45 mins from Chester

If anyone does know of someone I would be very willing to travel. We’re so sad, as they are indoor piggies so very much part of the family.

The long haired one is Rosie the dark one, and we simply trim her with hair scissors once a month. She’s very compliant

Hope you find them a good home soon. Sadly I am too far away and already have 5 piggies so I can't take anymore as 5 is my limit. I know 5 is my limit cos my OH told me so. I can find room in my heart and my vet fund for 2 more but it's not 'appening.

They are lovely! I'm glad you are able to find a potential rescue for them where they will be guaranteed to go to a good home! I'm sure it's heartbreaking to have to give them up. :(

Haha, she is actually very good, and just squeaks in protest a little, more indignant I think! She changes colour totally when we trim her 😊

Zippy has fur that looks as though she has washed it and slept on it still wet! Whirls all over the place! 😊

Please feel free to post about the piggies in the "guinea pigs looking for homes" section of the forum. Any members interested in rehoming would be more likely to notice this and express their interest.

It's also worth having a look at the rescue locator on here for a guarantee of the piggies going to a good home. If the rescue is quite far there may be the possibility of arranging a piggy train to get them there
