Alternative To Hay Rack

our two don't seem to like to take hay from the rack preferring it just in the cage but this soon creates huge wastage and it gets soiled. So any other options for something to put hay in that still then contains it a bit.

I'm afraid Guinea Pigs do like to rummage in hay and wee on it. I've resigned myself to the fact I have to dispose of large volumes of soiled hay. I have a hay tray - a cat litter tray - which I line with Aubiose and put cheap hay on top of.

I put more pricey hay in a hay manger that I bought from pets at home

I am not a big fan of hay racks and have posted a separate thread about how dangerous they can be .

Ok thanks. I have today used an innocent smoothie carton box filled with hay which is going well! And a small hay rack so we will see

We use hay bags instead of racks, but if they love to forage then they may not like those either.

I saw somewhere a loo roll tube filled with hay makes a good toy! Just make sure to cut a slit all along it first like cutting it open so your piggies can't get their heads stuck! Also make sure there is no ink on it My girls have enjoyed this in addition to their hay rack from time to time! Thankfully their hay rack is on the outside of the cage so no danger
