Alternative to window for fly paper

I want to keep blow flies away.

Last year I had fly paper on my kitchen window because they like light.

Well my new cat sits up there and got it stuck on her fur. She came when I was napping for me to get it off

I can put one strip in the piggies window, they have their own room.

Where can I put one in the main house my cat won't get into?

I like the light idea because they are attracted to light.

You can attach it to the light fitting/shade but I would not consider sticking it directly on a light bulb (even if they are LED bulbs, definitely don’t on older halogen bulbs).

Here they come with a thumb tack and I used to pin them to my kitchen ceiling, but that depends what your ceiling is made of. I don't get anything like the number of flies now that I no longer have guineas interestingly enough.
