I find myself worry about them over the slightest thing. If one of them has been laying down for a while, I have to go out and check on them. If one of them wheeks or runs off when I stoke her, I have to take her out of the hutch and check her. If it rains fast, I have to run outside to shut the outhouse door half way to prevent rain getting through the door. I'm sure that i'm mad mallethead but does anyone else do silly things like this?

Yeah I do lol like when Toby lies down for a nap I freak out a little bit thinking oh no is he okay?!:o He always wheeks in the cage though so I never worry about that lol!

Sounds totally normal piggy slave behaviour to me - I'd be worried if you weren't like that!:))

Sounds perfectly normal behaviour to me!

Its medically called Piggy Addiction Disorder! :))

Just enjoy it, because they are plenty of people out there that haven't, or will never, experience it :(|) xx

Totally Normal.. I am exactly the same with my babies... I get paranoid if they are sleeping and laying down for too long!

As I have indoor piggies I find I just sit and watch them for ages... x

I could watch my piggies for hours ... they are always entertaining and fun! :))

I so want to be a full time mom to my guinea pigs... but the OH wont let me! I can't work too many hours as I miss them too much! I'm lucky as I now work 32hours spread from monday to saturday, though it's not the best working 6days a week,it's the best getting to spend lots of time every day with them! x

sounds pretty normal to me(but i am totally odd).I have been known to do 24hr monitering of pigs and slept surrounded by pigs (and two ginger cats)when they were touch and go

i've done that surrounded by well guinea pigs! LOL! Maggie-May had an obsession with emptying the water bottle all over herself each and every night somewhere between 12am and 3am, so I stayed up with a towel in readiness, every night. The second she did it, i whipped her out and put her in her carry case after being dried, then i cleaned out the cage and took Maggie-May and her cagemate Bethany, both wrapped in towels, to my bed so i could lie with them to make sure neither of them got cold. Then by 4-5am I would take them back to their cage and watch them for a while to make sure they didnt have colds. Thank goodness Maggie-May grew out of it pretty quick. My OH got quite annoyed with me over it! LOL xxxxxxxxxxxx

My OH understands, just not when I'm with them in bed at night! LOL! He always gets two into bed in the morning, one for him to cuddle and one for me! x

lol we are well and truely guinea mad then.Poor OH had only had a cat before he met me.We had a flood a wee while back and I had ALL the pigs in our living room :) the sound was incredible poor OH

Lol. Do they ever decide to wee?
It's only Maggie-May we get the occasional problem with! Pheobe starts going crazy and squeels when she needs the loo, it's like "I need the toilet NOW Mommy, take me back NOW, I need the loo NOW Mommy!" In repitition mode until i take her back! Bethany and Ruby start to wonder off if they need the loo but little Maggie-May knows she's so cute that she'll get away with anything!

glad I'm not the only paranoid piggy mummy :))
