So true! Both of them walked over my hand and my heart melted ! I keep saying “hellos babies” to them and they seem to relax when I talk to themEvery baby step feels like a whole lot of progress towards becoming their friends, doesn't it?
Oh that’s so sad. But I’m sure you gave him a lovely life. Do you mind me asking what happened? It’s so sad losing a loved-oneAs long as their lives are filled with love. That’s all that matters. I lost a piggy young but he was cuddled and loved every day of his short life.
Your boys are SO gorgeous. This is the only picture I have and that’s their set upthey are called Rupert and Wilbur View attachment 241665View attachment 241666
Oh how lovely! Patience pays off! I’ve definitely noticed they feed off each other. When one hears the munching of another they get super curious lolYour boys are SO gorgeous.
We are also relatively new owners and we also had this fear but we precevered and found that they LOVE dill, parsley and coriander for hand feeding, it also allows you to hold on to some so they have to stick around to nibble some off so i guess its bonding + getting used to your scent and building trust that way.
my partner managed to crack them by just staying still with a piece of coriander for about 10-15 mins and eventually our brave boy fred came out and had a nibble, from then on fred normally comes out quite quickly, gino our more cautious boy took about 3 days more to start being more brave but i think that is just fred rubbing off on him
He was only about 4 months old. His name was Pippin. He started having red flaky skin patches. Took him to the vets three times in two weeks and whatever they prescribed just didn’t work. Every day another patch was showing up and then one day he just looked really poorly. Me and my daughter we so sad and we nearly gave up on piggies. But deep down I knew I had tried everything to help him. He was such a happy piggy. Did the fastest zoomies and lots of popcorns. I think he was inbred as he had extra toes so I think he was just weak genetically. We really loved him though.Oh that’s so sad. But I’m sure you gave him a lovely life. Yeah they definitely learn from each other so its good to have one confident boy, however gino is very cheeky and lets fred do all the hard work and get the first few bits of pepper etc and steals it off him when his guard is down, luckily fred just comes and gets some more and eventually gino will cave in and come for some too hahaOh how lovely!
