Am I Imagining Things...

Lol you're funny :). I don't let my pigs lick my lips, well I try not too Kitty will sneak one in from time to time.

The only thing I know is. I believe we can pass on a cold to them. So if not feeling well I would limit holding or at least kissing and make sure to wash your hands before touching them or their food if you're sick.

Maybe someone can confirm this @helen105281

They can't get our colds but it is not wise to kiss them when you have one. It is best to follow strict hygiene when you have a cold and only hold them when absolutely necessary. I am forever using my F10 handgel when I have a cold.

is it wise to admit i cuddle my girls & i am guilty of putting their ears between my lips- not biting, not even nibbling, just a lil lip squeeze, they seem to like it & i can check if their ears are cold too, my old girl Ellie is always getting lippy ear squeezes  to check her ear temperature, especially when shes ill or it starts to get cooler out.

I wouldnt do it if i had a cold or bugs though yuk... they dont want my germs:eek:
xx

There's no need to feel guilty of ear lipping, it's good piggy communication and won't hurt either of you. It is a good thread, the link earlier in this one, well worth reading and putting into practice. Guinea pigs communicate in a physical manner, so you have to get with the physical side of things to communicate with them properly. Enjoy nuzzling them behind the ears/by the shoulder too. They will enjoy it! I think one of my favourite things in the whole world is a piggy, happy and relaxed, telling me all about life and the universe during a snuggle.
