I have two male piggies. They still quite young. I feed them fresh hay 1 cup veg 1/2 cup pellets in the morning and at night they eaten most of it so I top it up abit for the night. I weigh them and they gaining around 2 oz each week but the fact they lit eat their food so fast makes me wonder wheather they are having enough but I worry about over feeding them.

Advice please

Your pigs can eat unlimited pellets if they are under 6 months old.

The best thing to do is put a massive pile of hay in their cage and let them play and eat it. It will hopefully fill them up and keep them entertained. I always put more hay in than they can eat to make sure they never run out as it needs to be unlimited.

The majority of their diet should be hay. This should be of a good quality, and unlimited. As long as they have a constant supply of hay they will never be hungry. The veg is useful as it can provide important vitamins (particular vitamin C), but it should only form a small portion of their daily diet.

Thanks for letting me know about the pellets. That's good because I get worried about over feeding but as long as they can eat more that's great.

I try give them unlimited hay. They have a hay rack I fill one section of there hutch and they put on top of their toys as some reason they like pulling it off their toys and climbing (I know piggies are not known for climbing but mine seem to enjoy it lol)
