I like to smell rabbit and guinea pig food when they have them in buckets in pet shops? 98)

Not sure why I do it ? but I think it is to do with thinking about whether to get any and whether it is fresh or not. By rabbit and guinea pig food I don't mean feeds aimed at both, just their individual foods.
 
nah i feel like tht if you smell it or if you can smell it thn u no tht is the one tht could be the nicest.
or if it smells bad u no tht it has been standing ther 4 a while
i wudnt worry so much i think eveyrone on this forum does somethig kinda strange. lol O0 O0 O0 O0 ;D ;D ;D

I'm the same when Trinny and Susannah came the food they came with smelt gorgeous. Now they are all on Wagg and its not as nice smelling. Ellas bunny food smells lovely too. I like all things like that though Horse feed smells nice too i can remember from going riding as a kid.

Hays lovely too. If your odd i am too and alot of others id say :smitten:
 
I am the same, its the sign of good piggy mum and dads! ;D We'd know if it smelt bad! :)
 
This is quite a sensible thing to do, the human sense of smell is useful and very undervalued. Think about the other senses that we have (sight,hearingetc.) and most people think those are more important, however, feeling/looking at and listening to food might not tell you if something was fresh/off.This sense was particularly useful in times gone by when smelling food was a good indication of it it was off or not, before we have clinical levels of hygiene. You may have a good sense of smell, which is more heightened than some of your other senses and therefore you use it girl ! ;)
 
i like the smell of small animal food love feeding my hamsters lol also like fresh sawdust smell too hehe
