Hi,
Inside my cage is Fruit seed stick, Guinea pig Meusli, Celery, Romain lettuce and Occationly dandelion sticks.

My smaller one has quite a hard belly, He weights 0.3kg

My Other has a softer belly and hes also 0.3kg

Am i feeding it too much?

Plz reply.. ::)

Oh yea and It poos all the time :o

I cleaned it out yesterday and within 10 mins it did 15 poos.

It this normal?

The fruit seed sticks are not good for guineas and seed are fattening and can get stuck in their teeth and cause problems.

You might want to try some different veg or even a bit of fruit....there is a list of good and bad foods for cavies on the 'Guinea pig shopping list' :)

Somethings just dawned on me....

Have you checked their sexes and that they are both male?

My guinea pig Shura poos a lot too. Should I be feeding less veggies? MM...

New to this myself my girlies are two months old as well they are eating for england. As mentioned before fruit seed sticks are not a good idea. Have you recently got your boys? Are you the one that posted the other day that you have recently got 15 sows. If so would be nice to see some pictures of all your guinea family. :) Hope the boys are ok. :)

Piggies do pass a lot of pellets. As long as the pellets are formed and not very soft and squishy, this is fine.

Do not give your piggies any treats bought from petstores because they are not suitable for them. All they need is lots of hay, dried and fresg grass, and veggies.

Give them at least 2 moderate helpings of veggies every day.Vary these as much as possible.

Yep the pellets are very formed, theree's a lot of them though. Today not so much.

It's difficult to tell if it is a good weight or not as all pigs are different. :)

I give mine 6 different veggies a day and alternate them over 2 days. Loads of Meadow Hay and some dried food, they seem happy on that. Treats are different fruit and veggies I don't bother with pet shop treats, my thinking is if they don't get them in the wild they don't get them in the hutch :)

Good luck with them!

Guineas do poo a lot!

I agree with what Maryh has said. Are you a new guinea owner? If so, it is a bit of a surprise at how much they poo compared to other animals, for example cats or dogs.

Is who a new guinea pig owner? Me? Sorry for the misunderstanding
Yes, sorry, didn't make it very clear. Guineas seem to store the poos up sometimes and do loads in one go!
